Job Purpose

From Beijing, lead and drive business development activities within CBS District Energy & HVAC to secure a healthy long-term development of our business in China and globally.

Accountable for identifying and co-develop business opportunities with customers and partners in close collaboration with our Application Manager, strongly supported Sales and group functions. Strong focus on accelerating our business through system benefits and digital opportunities.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Drive innovation topics towards agreed targets and proactively seek internal and external synergies with collaboration partners.
  • Lead and identify strategic opportunities and market trends and seek to develop these into strategic business opportunities for CBS.
  • Collaborate with important internal and external stakeholders to gain market knowledge and translate these into business opportunities.
  • Scan and identify partnerships or opportunities within identified areas
  • Investigate digital opportunities to fuel and accelerate strategic ambitions.
  • Join Public Affairs activities and build a solid network of industry contacts for accelerating CBS innovations and business opportunities
  • Creating tactical and targeted business recommendations based on thorough market and customer insights
  • Develop, drive and implement complex customer-oriented business development projects in cooperation with relevant stakeholders (medium to long-term and across the entire value chain)
  • Ensure knowledge sharing regarding future customer needs and long-term market trends with relevant internal functions
  • Continuously engage with customers, Sales Channels and external partners through regular visits.
  • Drive and participate in customer-oriented Business development pilot projects
  • Represent segment at various events, e.g. exhibitions, customer events, workshops and seminars.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree of engineering, Science or Business.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working within business development or similar function
  • Proven results on effective business development
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of best practices in Business Development in regional market
  • Proven record of cross-functional cooperation and commitment for Business development in a local as well as Global environment.
